I'm Gary. Learning more of the job as I go.

I work with the Punya Group in Imphal, where I'm involved with four dealerships covering Hyundai, Kia, Toyota and Honda two-wheelers, along with a logistics company we recently started. I joined as a director and have been getting involved in the day-to-day work across operations, reporting, payroll, parts and OEMs. I also build small tools to improve the way we work and take some of the repetitive work off my plate.

Outside the group, I build websites for local businesses. Two are live now: Tiny Treasure and GH Bureau.

Two sites I designed and built in October 2026. Both are live, and both were checked on phones first, since that is where most visitors in Imphal will open them.

Tiny Treasure

The website for Tiny Treasure, a pet park and café in Chingmeirong. It covers the park, the café menu with prices, grooming, the homestay, daycare and boarding, and ends in an enquiry form that reaches the owners by email.

  • Next.js static export, so pages load fast on mobile data
  • Enquiry form protected by Cloudflare Turnstile and a rate limit
  • Automated checks at phone, tablet and desktop sizes, with axe accessibility tests
  • The name is also set in Meitei Mayek

My own studio site

GH Bureau

A small web studio I set up to make one-page websites for local businesses. The site shows five working concept sites, for a tattoo studio, a salon, a café, a gym and a repair service, each with its own layout and its own way of taking an enquiry.

  • Every build checked down to 320 pixels wide, with a keyboard and without animation
  • Quote form with a WhatsApp option

Monthly payroll across the four dealerships. It takes Excel inputs, applies each brand's rules, and produces slips, reports and bank remittance files.

OEM Portal Daily Monitor

A daily script that signs into a manufacturer dealer portal, pulls the figures I need, builds a PDF and sends it to Telegram so I do not have to click through the site every morning.

Face Animation: A Deep Learning Approach

Final-year team project for a learning site with a talking avatar. Most of our effort went into shrinking the models so the product could actually run.

Technical details
  • Mapping network cut from 148.3 MB to 38.2 MB (−74%); generators halved
  • L1 pruning at 30% sparsity, float32 to float16
  • LMS around it: classrooms, assignments, quizzes, forums
  • Team of five, four sprints

Rice Variety Classifier

Classifies Cammeo and Osmancik rice grains from morphological measurements with a support vector machine. The tuned model reached 92.9% accuracy on the held-out set.
